ResourcePro’s CEO Dan Epstein is one of 10 leaders from New York-based companies to be named to Insurance Business America magazine’s 2015 list of Hot 100 people in the insurance industry.
The annual list is one of the industry’s highest distinctions, recognizing
people who have substantially changed the insurance landscape over the past year. Nominated by their peers, awardees are chosen by IBA magazine’s editorial panel. “The Hot 100 represents the best of the best the insurance industry has to offer,” IBA senior journalist Caitlin Bronson says. “This list is very much a ‘who’s who’ of power players and innovators in insurance.
Dan has more than 10 years of experience working with technology startup companies, helping them to plan and execute market entry strategies. In 2000, he founded the U.S.-Israel Business Exchange, a nonprofit devoted to fostering partnerships between Israeli high-tech companies and the U.S. He served there for four years as president and executive director. Prior to that he ran the commercial section of the embassy of Israel in Washington, D.C., worked as an assistant editor at the Bank of Israel, and served in the Armored Corps of the Israeli Defense Forces.
Dan has made waves in the industry by promoting the concept that process drives profitability and by actualizing that philosophy in the firms ResourcePro advises. By eliminating unnecessary work, continuously improving processes, managing the process of change, applying talent and delegating wisely, and auditing to see if benchmarks are being attained, businesses can transform operations into a lean, vigorous system of maximum productivity—a revolutionary goal ResourcePro trains clients to achieve.
Management is key in the process, and Dan and his scrum of advisors show companies how managers can enable, rather than just allow, team members to actualize exemplary processes that transform office and companywide operations with profit and people in mind.
Honorees for the IBA Hot 100 2015 list range from small-town insurance brokers to CEOs of international companies and congressional leaders.
